Janine McMurdie

Janine is a seasoned commercial executive with 17 years of experience launching disruptive life science products, including next generation sequencing technology Ion Torrent. She has led clinical market development for the translation of cutting-edge technology from research to the clinic with a focus on impacting patient care. Janine has held a variety of leadership roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Life Technologies, Applied Biosystems, and Amgen. Most recently, she played a vital role in the clinical transformation of Agena Bioscience and was part of the executive leadership team that navigated the strategic path from VC to a publicly traded organization.

Janine has a passion for building high performing teams, elevating women in science, and advancing precision medicine. She holds an BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology and an MS in Molecular Genetics from California State University. Janine lives in Thousand Oaks, CA with her husband and two dogs. When not working you will find her outside, somewhere . . . running on wilderness trails, hiking through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, or scuba diving around the globe.
